Dr. Poon: My Pollack Fillets with Green Beans

Pollack Fillets with Green Beans

Ingredients:
  • 3 - 4 Skinless Pollack Fillets
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic (Finely minced)
  • 1/2 Lemon (Juiced)
  • 1 pinch of Lemon Rind
  • Steamed Green Beans
  • 1 Tablespoon PC Sun Dried Tomato & Herb Seasoning Blend (No Salt Added)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

Directions:

  1. In a pan add 1 tablespoon olive oil and garlic.
  2. Juice 1/2 a lemon and the rind of one lemon and add to the pan.
  3. Add your seasoning blend and then add your fish. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes on each side.
  4. Once you have finished cooking the fish place it on your serving platter and then add your drained green beans to the same pan. Add your last tablespoon of olive oil and a couple of dashes of the seasoning blend. Let it cook for about 2 - 3 minutes to fully coat the beans.

This one is so yummy. I think I will have to make it tomorrow for myself.

Hi!
I just wanted to say that i'm glad I found your blog, lol but I don't mean to be creepy!
I was browsing google for Dr. Poon's diet and any testimonies for his program, since i'll be starting it in about two days. I happened to "stumble" on to your blog and I'm glad that I did, since you've been keeping it updated from the beginning. I'm kind of nervous that I won't be able to lose the initial 10 pounds (well more the "YOU CHEAT YOU'RE OUT!" part) but anywho! So I just wanted to say that I hope you'll keep updating your progress, it gives me motivation to see someone else blogging theirs online! Thanks again, and keep up the hard work! :)

PS, i'm chinese, and chinese people don't portion their meals the way other people do, so it's tough to know when enough is enough. I'm also glad that you've put up recipes from your poon updates, they look delicious and I'm hoping to try some once I get used to the program (hopefully, haha)

@ Stephanie - Which office are you heading to? I am in on Tuesday as well for an appointment at the Richmond Hill office.

Your not creepy. I love hearing from everyone as you all inspire me to continue with my quest. Thank you for leaving a comment.

I would not worry about the stories you hear. I find that with dealing with the office they have all been very nice. The initial 10 pounds will come off because you will be eatting as much as you would like but only the foods on the list. Get the bread loaf and also some muffins because that will help out with breakfast. I know a lot of people say they have a hard time with the morning part of the diet.

P.S. I'm Portuguese background and I am telling you that if you've never been to a portuguese person house for dinner you should try it because you have to eat. There is no word as no, I'm not hungry. lol

If you would like e-mail me and check back here for updates.

I've been a naughty girl these past two weeks.

Oh, are you headed there this Tuesday? I've got my first weigh-in on the 15th! Also at the Richmond Hill clinic. And I do agree, the secretaries at the RH clinic were very kind, so it made my first visit less intimidating lol. For me, I think it's going to be difficult choosing what to eat in general, let alone for breakfast. But i'll take your advice and try the muffins.

No, i've never been to a portugese house before, but from what you've said I think it may be similar to chinese gatherings! Ahah, oh boy I hope there isn't an event planned, I don't want it to be over before it even begins..

I have a question about the first two weeks. I was planning to go to the gym at school, but since i've finally started (or soon to) this diet I was wondering if going to the gym will help out a great deal? But it'd be good to go anyway right?

Anyway, I'll definitely check back again! Don't worry, I'm sure Santa Poon will forgive you as long as you keep at it! :)

@ Stephanie - Yes, going to the gym helps out big time. It's going to fall right off you fast with heading out to the gym and eatting everything and only what you are allowed.
