An experience I will never forget

There are times when things happen to you that you soon would want to forget and then others where you hope that it will leave an image in your mind forever. Yesterday was one of those days for me. I have been talking about Crop for the Cure for over six months. It's been so exciting to plan. I know I had decided to donate my hair and thought it is going to be so easy. Well, I can tell you it was one of the most hardest moments of my life. I know it's just hair...but that is not that part that got me. I realized at the moment when Tracy was cutting my braid that I was going to help more than I could imagine. For me it was a choice but for someone else it's not. I never want to go thru a day knowing that feeling but do want to remember the feelings of that very moment.

This is the new me.

12 inches of hair to donate.

Me with the wonderful ladies who made this all happen.

I really want to thank Mane Society (7540 Weston Road, Unit #3, Woodbridge, ON #905-264-6300) for allowing me to make this experience a little easier in providing me with a make over in the process. The moment I met CJ at the salon I knew first hand that these where wonderful people with big hearts and second that I was in great hands. They sent Tracy my hair stylist, Teresa my colour specialist and Jewels my make up artist. These ladies were some of the most caring hearts I' ve ever meet. They volunteered their time and talents. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and will soon see you all in the Salon. I love the new me!

The whole day was just a high for me. Seeing all the wonderful ladies come out to help in creating a memorable experience as a whole. There was so much emotion thru the room you really had to be there to experience it. Alexis and my sister did get some awesome pictures and I am waiting to hear from them in order to go and pick up the cd's. I want to see all the awesome shots. I'll post them as soon as I get them in my hands.

Thank you to all the sponsor's, volunteer's (Lucy, Lisa and Rose) for helping me during the day, and to each and everyone of you who attended. Without you there wouldn't be a cheque for $810.00 going to the Princess Margaret Hospital. Andres is going to be so happy. I thought we would have donated only half that amount.

The best part of all was getting roses' from my special men ...my wonderful husband and two beautiful sons saying how proud they were of me. That made my day in so many ways. I am so happy to have some wonderful people in my life. I love you.

I also received a beautiful handmade card by all of the ladies who attended with words that will carry me thou life every single day. Thank you for being my old friends and my new friends.

Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!
