Busy Weekend - Guys Visit, Twilight & Mother in-law's 53rd Birthday

I am surprised I am still standing after this weekend. I am tired and wished that I would have gotten a few more hours of sleep. On Friday night Steve's friends Steve F and Garry came by for a late dinner and stayed until 1:30 am. I had an awesome time with the guys yet again. These two guys are super funny.

On Saturday I ended up going to pick out my mother's birthday cake for her surprise birthday party on April 5th. Her cake is truly a piece of art. I hope that it turns out to bee looking like the sample. My sister won on ordering it from Irresistible Cakes (http://www.icakes.com/) from Frankie. They always treat us like family. We've ordered enough cakes there that we are like family. It also helps owning a business in the same industry as you know a lot of people. I can not believe how much we paid for her cake $180.00 but then again you do not turn 60 every single year. She deserves it as she has been thou a lot in life. I just wish that these two boys of mine or should I say three boys of my remember me at 60.

I then headed home to meet with one of my bride's. We had a wonderful meeting and it was nice seeing her again. About 2 hours after she left I felt sick. I was getting the cold shivers and just felt like a truck ran me over. I was so upset because my good friend Alexis wanted to get together for some scrapbooking and I knew I was in no shape to do that. So I called to see if maybe I got a nap if that would help. Sure enough I called her to let her know that I was in no shape to get together. Next thing I know it's 7:00 pm and I get a call from the same friend saying she has a surprise and is on her way over. She got here about 8 pm with a Twilight movie for me (yes, she bought me my own copy), smart corn popcorn, onion ring chips, homemade juice and ice cream with caramel sauce. This was so sweet. I could not believe it was happening. She stayed to watch the movie with me. She ended up leaving at about 10:30 and I went straight to bed.

Alexis, thank you so much for doing one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me. It was awesome spending some time with you. We should do it again soon. Hugs my dear friend.

Sunday morning got ready and went to Oshawa for my mother in-laws 53rd birthday. We enjoyed a nice meal prepared by her. We got to spend some time with my brother in-law Jason and his wife Nancy. I truly had a wonderful time.

We left and got home at around 6pm so I ended up going down to my scrapbooking area and finishing a project for my design team. I am happy that it was a busy weekend but one that was super special.
