The Joys of Christmas Eve

Having children in the house is just wonderful at this time of the year. My boys are over the moon with excitement and can't wait until the big man in red rolls around. We spent the day indoors watching Christmas movies. I'm telling you we laughed so hard when we watched Home Alone and Alone in New York. Tristan was just in stitches and little Ethan was scared. Tristan and I headed out to pick up some Chinese for Steve and I and McDonald's for them. Yes, they wanted to eat junk and junk is what they got. We then watched Ice Age and headed upstairs for baths and bed when the kids noticed that baby Jesus dropped off a gift in their rooms. It was a pair of really cool Christmas pajamas. Tristan was just so excited because he thought baby Jesus forgot this year since he always leaves them downstairs. I explained that baby Jesus did not want to bother us while we were watching a family movie. It just made their day to have some new matching pj's.

We headed downstairs and prepared the treats for Santa and his reindeer. It's 6 degrees and raining outside so instead of leaving food for the reindeer outdoors we left it on the reindeer's plate. I've attached some pictures of our evening.

Look at these beautiful faces. My little loves.

My silly little monkey boys by the tree. Who knows if I will be able to get a good one tomorrow with all the gifts around.

My big boy smiling for mom. Ethan was running away at this point.

The boys after their shower heading down to prepare their treats.

The stockings are hung by the stairwell with care.

The boys note (mom helped of course) and yummies for Santa and the reindeer.

Our tree with just gift from Santa for the boys.

Wishing you and your family sweet dream thou the night and special surprises for tomorrow morning.
